About Us

SUNBELT LANDSCAPES & NURSERY (SLN) is a second-generation family owned business located in Corrales, New Mexico. SLN was established in 1985 as a commercial tree farm. In 1990, SLN became the only grower of large specimen trees. In New Mexico, SLN is still the only grower of large caliper (8” to 12” diameter and 20' to 40' height) estate trees. Diversity is a way of life for SLN. Many of our employees have seen our scope of services broaden over the 15 years they have been with the company.

Brandon Steiner grew up in the custom home business. While delivering trees to customers, it became obvious to Brandon that there was a lack of quality control in the New Mexico landscape industry. In 1991, due to constant requests from our tree customers, SLN began expanding into commercial and residential landscape construction. SLN is experienced in all phases of the Design/Build process. All SLN designs are created in-house utilizing a cost-conscious point of view. SLN thrives to be the best company delivering the highest quality at a competitive price.

Over the years, SLN has done residential projects ranging from $1,500 to $750,000 with each customer receiving the same attention to detail, resulting in another successful project for the SLN team.

Over the years, SLN has never been complacent about the materials used in a landscape or the methods in which those materials are installed. SLN takes pride in the fact that we remain on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to the design and installation of your landscape. An example of this is our approach to soil fertility. Our WATERTHRIFTY system includes all organic soil amendments that are custom blended for each site based on the results of soil testing. This unique bio-dynamic approach leads to a 50% water savings over the traditional methods of soil amendments.
